Whether you are looking to cool off in the water or enjoy a late summer day out of doors, there are plenty of ways to have fun as a family without busting your budget.

If you live near a city with a zoo, many offer free days for the whole family or at least the kids. Check websites or call ahead to find out when these days are. Also check to see what the policy is regarding food; if you are allowed to, bring a picnic lunch to avoid high snack stand fees.Is this new to you? Catch up here

You can check your city’s calendar for a list of free concerts and events. Theater groups, bands, and comedians offer great entertainment for the whole family!

State and city parks also offer a host of events and activities for low or no fees. Bike paths, hiking trails, and splash parks are among my kids’ favorite places to be.

While renting a motor boat may not be in your budget, consider canoe or kayak rentals. These are often a fraction of the price.

Use the summer to get to know your city and surrounding areas in new ways. Kids love to explore, so don’t be afraid to try something new with them!

The internet is a wonderful invention. It offers us a world of information, instantaneous news, allows us to communicate with far away family and friends, and allows us to order pizza. But with such a wonderful invention will come the negative.

With more and more predators on the internet targeting our children, how can we protect them? Well, a good suggestion is to have the family computer in open view. Keep it in a room were parents are able to see who is on it and what sites they are visiting.Get more information here. http://blogpost.pk/2011/09/10/wi-tribe-wimax-launches-parental-control/ This will keep children from straying onto sites that are inappropriate and dangerous to them.

Another way to keep our children safe is to get a good internet filter. An internet filter will guard our children from sites that pose a threat not only to their computer, but also to them. Some internet filters send a weekly or monthly e-mail showing you what sites have been visited.

Above all, the most important thing a parent can do to protect their children is to stay active in their lives. Know who their friends are and get to know their parents. After all, we all want the best for our children.

Saving money on groceries by clipping coupons have been around for many years. Consumers more than ever before are looking for ways to save money on their food bills. Clipping coupons is one of the easiest ways to accomplish it. Clipping coupons though have become much different today, than it was just a few years ago. More companies are now using the Internet to circulate their coupons instead of the newspaper. They have realized they can reach a wider audience for their products by doing this as well.

Using the world of social media such as Twitter and Facebook is another way consumers are finding coupons that they did not know existed. Social media is growing and it will be viable way consumers and manufacturers connect. Some grocery retailers now give consumers cards that they can upload their coupons on. This is done electronically and when they check out all you do is swipe their card. This will probably be the wave of the future as it eliminates the needs to carry or cut out coupons.

Saving money with coupons will never go away as both consumers and manufacturers benefit from it. How these coupons are delivered to consumer has changed, but the demand for them will never.

Sure you’ve been on Twitter for years but do you really know how to use it to help build your brand? Here are a few of our suggestions for getting customers out of your social network no matter which wireless internet providers they have or what they do when they’re online
Tweet Specials: No one like spammy Tweets but if you’re giving people a good deal they’re going to love you for it. Tweet a coupon code or talk about a special Twitter followers only sale and people will start following you left and right.
Stay Relevant: Make sure if you’re going to Tweet something that it’s pertinent – funny, informational or amusingdon’t just Tweet to talk about how great your brand is! There’s nothing worse than a brand who acts like a walking, talking commercial.
Retweet Often: Let others do the heavy lifting for you. If someone Tweets something even remotely related to your brand, be it a statistic or some news, reTweet it and make it doubly related to your cause. Bonus if they decide to follow you because you reTweeted them!

Summer’s right around the corner, and with that comes the end of school and the start of a long break. What’s a mom on a budget to do? Here are a few tips that can help cut some corners and make summer a blast.

Grab powdered juice packets instead of soda at the supermarket. With negligible prep time, you’ll have a healthier drink for the kids at less than half the cost. (Plus, those juices make great popsicles.)

Warmer weather means the farmers’ markets are open. Shop there for in-season fruits and vegetables. You’ll get the freshest produce, often for a fraction of the grocery store price.

Save jeans with holey knees. Cut off the legs, hem the bottom, and you’ve got a cheap set of shorts ready for the playground.

Patronize your neighborhood library. Nowadays, libraries have more than books to borrow: with children’s events to attend and DVDs, CDs, and tapes to check out, everyone will be happy. Besides, it’s worlds cheaper to head to the library for some quiet and air conditioning than going to the movie theater.

Sprinklers and five gallon buckets make great outdoor toys when on a budget. Slather everybody in sunscreen, jump into a swimsuit, and invite the whole neighborhood for an afternoon of water fun!

We’ve all been there, trying to button up your pants in the morning and they’re just too darn small, but you swear they fit you not even a week ago. You don’t have time for this; you don’t have time for anything because you’re always on the go. Most of all, you don’t have time to devote hours a day to breaking a sweat in the gym. You’re a parent, a wife/husband and you have a career to stay on top of. But, fret no more, there are ways to stay fit while on the go.

The most obvious way to fit exercise into your daily life is by walking. Opt for the stairs and don’t spend twenty minutes looking for the closest possible parking spot, park far away on purpose and walk off your morning bagel. If there are stairs where you work, take five or ten minute breaks and walk up and down a flight of stairs. If you work at a desk, stand up while you’re at the computer. If you have kids, go outside and run around with them. You don’t need to be in a gym to be working out, just keep yourself moving constantly.Want to know more?

The quaint saying that a family that plays together stays together is appropriate to use when substituting playing for fitness and adding does which would be the family that does fitness together stays together. After all what is fitness? It can be anything from walks in the park or going on a low sugar high protein or high carb diet. The purpose of fitness is to make a person healthy and to stay healthy. If both you and your kids begin to have the same objectives in daily living, you will be amazed at the attitude of your kids and of you.
When making fitness a daily part of exercise like riding bikes or taking long walks together, the fitness becomes engaging which for many people is part of what makes certain activities fun like going to an arcade. If preparing meals that are specific to certain foods together becomes a family activity, it is a type of game. We all know that games are supposed to be fun. Of course, the question might be what is fun?
For most people their idea of fun is an activity that allows expression of emotions like glee, excitement, cooperation and team playing. If fitness programs that you devise are part of you and your kids time together, you are making that time with your kids fun by playing with them.
