Situated on an elevation above Lorch, at the end of the valley of the Wisper, the castle once formed part of the town fortifications. First mentioned around 1100. A tower for living in and two corner turrets on the side facing the hill have been rebuilt by the owner. Not open to visitors. [Text taken from Castles On The Rhein] |
