The North Wall and the English Building

The North Wall and the English Building
arise above the short side of the deep moat east of the Thick Tower. The English Building was erected by Friedrich V for his English wife Elizabeth above the north wall, since there was no room for this building within the old castle precincts. Only a few traces are left in the interior of its one-time splendour. Worthy of note is the fairly intact, well -arranged elegant facade, revealing the English or French influences.
